Answer
A repeater is a variation of bridging which works as an extension to incoming wireless signals. Rather than join multiple LANs, a repeater increases the distance over which a single WLAN signal can spread, overcoming obstacles and enhancing overall network signal quality.
Basically a repeater is a “man in the middle” who forwards everything it hears on one wireless interface to a second wireless interface and visa versa.
For example, if you have an AP on one side of a 5000 sq ft building and you can only cover half of the building from its location, using a repeater you can extend the signal to the other half of the building without having to wire the second half of the building.

Over the last 4 days I was an exhibitor at the Defense Services Asia show in Kuala Lumpur. The show was a great success for us and our local partner XV Asia Technology with lots of interest from real customers with real money to spend on all of our products.
