Selecting Your Surveillance Cameras
You will need to decide on the appropriate placement and selection of equipment:
Where you want to place your cameras?
We will need to know if you will have clear line of sight to our routers or not.
What the cameras' field of view is?
We will need to know if the camera is a standard resolution or megapixel camera in order to determine bandwidth requirements.
How much motion will there be and how fast will you need to stream?
Again, we will need to know your frame rate and the amount of motion in order to determine your bandwidth requirements.
How much light is available?
Low light may significantly increase your bandwidth requirements.
Whether motion actuated illumination is required?
We may need to provide you with serial or dry contact relay support over IP HauteSpot routers use 11-27VDC which is delivered over Power Over Ethernet. We will need to make sure that all systems at your drop locations can get power.
Whether the camera will need to be panned (rotated horizontally), tilted (rotated vertically) and whether mechanical lens control is required for zoom or apeture?
Again, we may need to provide you with serial or dry contact relay support over IP for your positioners
Protocol support?
Network protocols that are used to communicate between your camera and your NVR perform differently when wired versus wireless. You need to make sure that your camera selection will perform well over wireless
